Back in Green

After a four-year absence from the global market (barring Taiwan), Johnnie Walker is reintroducing its highly acclaimed Green Label back into their range permanently, this time to great applause from whisky aficionados across the world.

At the relaunch in KL last week, Johnnie Walker took their guests on a video tour of the creation of Green Label, as well as a whisky appreciation and tasting session led by Diageo’s global whisky expert Georgie Bell, who reintroduced the guests to its delightful complexities.

For the uninitiated, the blended malt whisky features a selection of Scotland’s best from Speyside, Highland, Lowland, and Island distilleries, producing greater depth and a wider flavour experience that made it such a success across the world.

Four malts come together to create this whisky supernova: Talisker, Linkwood, Cragganmore, and Caol Ila – all aged for a minimum of 15 years. Talisker, from the Isle of Skye, delivers wood smoke, pepper, oak and rich fruits, and gives the blend a depth of character; Speyside’s Linkwood brings notes of light garden fruits, flowers, and cedar wood; Cragganmore provides the distinct malty heart together with hints of wood smoke and sandalwood; and lastly Caol Ila from Isle of Islay for the natural intensity with notes of rich fruit, sea salt, and the always adored peat smoke.

Johnny Walker Green Label is now available in Malaysia at all authorised distributors and in bars, restaurants and hotels.
