Following the grand relaunch of the stunningly modern EQ, an extremely exclusive pop-up will be hosted at the resident Japanese restaurant Kampachi – sponsored by Japan Airlines, who considerately flew the chefs from Japan – three Michelin-starred Chef Masaki Miyakawa of Sushi Sin, Japan.
From 1st to 10th November, sushi aficionados can experience the same omakase menu offered by Chef Miyakawa at his restaurants in Japan, served on Kampachi’s unique 200 year old Hinoki wood sushi counter. As the counter is small – seating only eight pax at one time, although a further 12 can be accommodated in the private dining space if needed – seats are limited. Demand is expected to be high, so a reservation is highly advised.
Diners can also choose an exclusive sake pairing option for both lunch and dinner, carefully selected by sake master Shigeyuki Masaki from the best boutique brewers in Japan. For the 14-course lunch menu (RM500+ per person, plus RM120+ for sake pairing) they will be serving Junmai Shinriki, Junmai Ginjo Megumi Blue Label, and Yamada Jyuro; and with the 18-course dinner menu (RM1000+ per person, plus RM220+ for sake pairing) Umeshu Soda, Izumibashi Junmai Ginjo Megumi Blue Label, Fusozuru Junmai, and Taketsuru Nigori will be served.
