Just pop a few into your mug and pour your coffee in, the lightweight shells will sink to the bottom and remain there.  Containing a phase change material (PCM) that melts at 140°F, the shells will begin to draw in the heat and retain it. Once your coffee has cooled down the PCM will solidify again, releasing the contained heat back into your coffee thus ensuring the perfect temperature till the last drop.
