America has always prided itself on its freedom of speech and expression. To hammer home the fact, New York based Biagio Cru & Estate Wines has revealed Égalité, a light sparkling wine that was specifically created to celebrate equality for the Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.

Égalité, which incidentally means equality in French, is made from grapes from the Burgundy region of France. In addition to being an excellent marketing tool for the New York wine company and a symbolic wine at that too, Égalité also boasts a philanthropic aim as well.

Biagio Cru & Estate Wines has pledged USD$1000 donations to several LBGT advocacy groups in the United States. The company has also promised subsequent proceeds from the sale of the wine to be donated to other groups as well.
