Four Perfect Guinness Pourers Found In Malaysia

Four Perfect Guinness Pourers Found In Malaysia

11 participants shortlisted from more than 1,000 entries, met at the Sungei Way Brewery to discover who among them poured the best pint. The prize for this challenge: an all-expenses-paid trip to the home of Guinness – Dublin, Ireland. The winners have shown that our drinkers can expect their favourite brews to be served at a world-class standard across the country.

The perfect pint of Guinness takes 119.5 seconds to pour. The glass is first filled up to three-quarters full, after which the ‘surge’ is allowed to settle before being topped up - giving the Guinness its iconic creamy head and velvety texture. The perfect pour gives balance to the bitter and sweet notes in the stout, delivering the distinctive taste that only Guinness can provide.

The winners are Ong Poh Wee of The Beer Factory, Sunway Giza (Central), Manabat Marco James of Mansion, Ipoh (North), Yong Chee Yung of La Primeur, Johor Bahru (South) and Jong Saw Kang of Bungalow 8, Kuching (East Malaysia).

The Guinness Perfect Pour contest is a program under the Heineken Malaysia Star Academy platform. For more information contact or please visit: www.heinekenmalaysia.com
