Malaysian whisky lovers are in for a treat! Glenlivet has released a 15-year-old single malt whisky specifically for the discerning drinkers here. Called the Glenlivet 15 Year Old Single Cask Edition, this whisky is aged in cask number 906283, an ex-bourbon American oak barrel.

Nowhere else in the world will you get this expression. Cask 906283 only produced 174 bottles and they're now in Malaysia.

"Each addition to The Glenlivet Single Cask Editions range offers its own individual insight into the provenance, artisanal production techniques and smooth, floral, fruity house style of The Glenlivet," said Glenlivet master distiller, Alan Winchester.

"Bottled straight from the cask in which it has been matured, this unique combination of liquid, cask and age will never be replicated," he added.

Take note that the whisky has been bottled at cask strength of 59.7% ABV so you might want to take it slow and perhaps mix it with water or ice. Its unique flavour profile has hints of pear, honeydew and notes of vanilla with ginger.
