Calling all home bartenders and cocktail enthusiasts: Do you consider yourself something of an undiscovered talent? A Jerry Thomas or Ada Coleman in the making? Put your skills to the test this weekend and see if you’ve got what it takes to create the next Jungle Bird.

Locker & Loft are hosting their second annual KL Amateur Bartender Challenge on 23rd December at their bar in PJ, and all ordinary folk are welcome to join. Strictly no professional, freelance, part-time, guest shift, or ex-bartenders are allowed – only for those with a passion for it.

Judges will mark based on the cocktail's taste, presentation, and originality, among others. The final prize is RM1,000 worth of drinks at the bar, as well as seeing the winning concoction earning a place on Locker & Loft’s cocktail menu. If you want an incentive, last year’s winning drink, Tropic Tingle, has consistently been the third best-selling cocktail for a year.
