Celebrating The Macallan’s commitment to and quality of natural colour from cask aging, the Edition No. 5 is wrapped in its own unique Pantone created shade of purple packaging.
Aged in a combination of first and second fill bourbon and sherry barrels (with more emphasis on the sherry as is their style), the whisky itself has vanilla and toffee aromas with hints of spices, ripe pear on the palate with nutmeg and ginger finish.
ABV is at 48.5%, a subtle nod to the 5th in this series (Edition No. 1 was at 48.1% ABV).
