Macallan has released a limited edition non-age whisky matured in American and European oak casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry from Jerez. The sherry casks have given the spirit a dark caramel gold colour and an ABV of 58.4%, higher than its usual expressions.

Nick Savage, Master Whisky Distiller of The Macallan, said that in combination with the flavours and aromas of caramel, orange zest, vanilla, nutmeg spice, ginger and fresh sweet oak, the whisky also gives a satisfyingly long finish and one to be savoured in your own time. If you are a fan of sherry-aged whisky, this is one that represents the true classic of The Macallan’s unique whisky characters.
