Malaysian independent spirit importer and distributor Wholly Spirits have released the first out of their three editions of an exclusive collaboration with The Boutique-y Whisky Company (TBWC), The Skyline Series Vo. 1.
Released in conjunction with Wholly Spirits’ 5th anniversary, the independently bottled single malt Scotch at 50.2% ABV selected by the Wholly Spirits’ founders Shawn Samuel and J.B. Ooi is a Springbank 19-Year-Old that has been fully matured in a sherry butt.
“Malts from Springbank Distillery have a huge global cult following, but it’s very rare to see one that is fully matured in a Sherry butt. It’s a true unicorn whisky, especially for avid whisky collectors!” says Shawn.
“This whisky is testament to the high standards we’ve set for the Skyline Series. We want to ensure that each whisky in this series has to be of exceptional quality, and also unique in its own right,” JB adds.
The Skyline Series Vol. 1’s label for both 500ml (RM2,368) and 50ml bottles is designed using TBWC's signature whimsical hand-illustrated style that features Kuala Lumpur’s skyline adroned by icons such as the Petronas Twin Towers, orangutan and Bunga Raya.
A custom-made wooden box designed by a Malaysian company encasing a 500ml bottle and two 50ml miniatures of the whisky is also available in a limited quantity.
Only 231 bottles of the 500ml bottle are available. The whisky is on a pre-ordering basis from 21 December 2020 onwards and for store collection at their Desa Sri Hartamas outlet only. Get in touch with Wholly Spirits at +60125805813 to order.
