Tiger Street Food Virtual Festival extends to include more cities in Malaysia

The Tiger Street Food Virtual Festival has returned for the second time this year with a new look.

The festival that promotes local eateries reflects the roots of the beer brand that was born in the streets of Asia. Over 100 Malaysian street food vendors nationwide will be made available for ordering on this virtual platform, together with Tiger Beer and Tiger Crystal offered at a promotional price (RM6 each).

What’s new

1. Interface

Unlike the previous version where festivalgoers’ avatars had to “physically” patron the street to order from the stalls, the platform now automatically calculates the distance from the delivery location and make a list of stalls available within a 10km radius for ordering on the same page.

2. Additional cities

Covering a wider proximity, Klang Valley is now split into Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. On top of that, Ipoh is added to the delivery map with vendors from the popular foodie destination. There are now in total five cities: Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Ipoh, Penang and Johor Bahru.

3. More street wear brand collaborations

The Hyperfeast Drop that includes a specially packaged branded apparel, food and beer are available in limited quantities daily on a first come first serve basis. Renowned local streetwear brands EK Collective, TNT Co, The Swagger Salon, Eversince, Pestle & Mortar and Dissyco have each curated two limited-editions for the festival.

4. Tiger Coins

Earn Tiger Coins through games and activities, as well as through purchases on the platform. Tiger Coins can be used to redeem vouchers which can be used to purchase dishes, beers, merchandise and outfits for your avatar.

Register a new account even though you have previously signed up to Tiger Street Food. You will have to create a new avatar but with more apparel options this time from the Xclusive Store. Interact with other festivalgoers on the platform and take selfies together, but they all can look very similar other than the name you have for your avatar that shows above its head.

Lizzy Chloe and Michael Joshua are the hosts of Street Food Dash and Streetwear Hunt where you get to earn Tiger Coins.

Delivery charges still apply and orders from multiple stalls means delivery fees from the respective stalls to your location.

Tiger Street Food will run for 6 weeks starting 12 November 2021 every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am until 9pm.

Use promo code STREETFOOD30 on Tiger Street Food to get RM30 off minimum spend order of RM160 on Tiger Beer or Tiger Crystal, excluding bundle deals. For other promotions, visit www.facebook.com/TigerBeerMY.
