After a long wait of 2 years due to the pandemic, WhiskyPLUS is returning with its fourth edition which will be held at Pavilion Hotel on 11 December 2021.
The one-day event will be split into two sessions. Although both sessions will be very similar, there may be differences in what’s offered by exhibitors for each session.
Entry passes come in standard and VIP tickets. All ticket holders will be given a commemorative whisky glass upon entry to be used for unlimited samplings at the main tasting floor. Tickets also come with a complimentary set meal box to line the stomach and F&B vouchers to use later in Pavilion Hotel and sister property, Banyan Tree.
Among the 60 participating brands, expect a wide range of whiskies and other spirits from brand principals, importers and distributors. There will also be independent bottlings and some new-to-market expressions, and a special limited bottling from Royal Salute making its Malaysian debut exclusively at the event this year.
To enjoy additional perks, the VIP passes allow access to premium and rare whiskies exclusively available in the VIP lounge and a fat goodie bag.
Other than spirits, there will be cocktails from bar pop-ups, old and rare whiskies to be purchased by the dram at the Collector’s Corner and cigars at the Cigar Discovery Corner.
In the interest of safety and comfort, government directives and SOPs for such gatherings are strictly complied with. The event is capacity controlled and only fully vaccinated individuals are allowed entry. On top of that, a full suite of health and safety protocols co-developed between the hotel and global testing and certification leader Bureau Veritas will be in place to provide an extra layer of assurance and confidence to all guests.
