This Penang Peranakan bistro bills itself as a place of no frills and no pretence, and lives by the motto “good food, good wine, good friends, good time”. It’s a small, rustic shop in Bangsar that’s designed to be a place where friends, families, and tourists alike can unwind with excellent Malaysian food, takes pride in being powered by family recipes combined with personal flair.

Best known for their Bak Kut Teh (and Chi Kut Teh for a halal option), they also serve nasi lemak, and a selection of dim sum, plus a decent selection of bottled beers, cocktails, and gin. The space is also a great place to host events, and provide catering for the full experience.
