Founded by local actress Cheryl Samad, LOKL Coffee is a new café along Jalan Tun H S Lee that exudes an old KL type of cool with Melbourne-style café concept. The little café is all around cozy and very minimal with raw brick, peeling wooden tables and pop arts complete the scene. Under the same roof with Backhome Hostel, the cafe has already proven quite popular amongst the backpackers. For one, the staff is always brimming with smiles when taking your order – whether is the pastries, gourmet sandwiches, salads or soups. Coffee selection runs from Italian to local range. There’s also a sizeable dessert counter too. It is really quite a charismatic little nook.
