A new non-halal food court serving hawker-style Chinese food is now open at the lower ground floor of the Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur. The vibrantly decorated food court is the latest venture by Singaporean Fei Siong Group, making it their first overseas foray into Malaysia.
The last food court that served non-halal food in the KLCC vicinity was Taste Enclave at Level 2, Avenue K. The brand moved out and the space was switched to the non-pork Food Junction in 2016. There has always been a lack of porky food choices in malls in Malaysia, especially at reasonable prices that suit the office lunch crowd.
Malaysia Boleh! offers affordable authentic Malaysian street food to KL foodies, with choices ranging from Penang Prawn Noodles, Claypot Chicken Rice, Penang Char Kway Tiao, Ipoh Chicken Rice, ABC to local kopitiam-style beverages, and are all locally sourced vendors. Additionally, the food court hires senior aged helpers "to retain the old-fashioned coffee shop environment that Malaysians are familiar with,” says Mr Tan Kim Siong, Chairman and Founder of Fei Siong Group.
The Malaysia Boleh! brand has also collaborated with Tourism Malaysia to promote tourism through Malaysian flavours as part of the ‘Malaysia Truly Asia’ campaign.
