FOOK

The latest gastronomic concept by the team at Tamarind Restaurants brings FOOK, serving up contemporary Asian cuisine in a very Oriental ambience – a mural of a demure woman in a state of undress looks out over the diners in the main room, and chandeliers set the tone for an elegant meal. The Asian tapas style menu includes such favourites as smoked beef brisket in charcoal buns, itik kut teh, and more sizeable meals of black mussel pancake, roasted Hoisin-marinated lamb loin, and sautéed grouper. Their drinks selection is equally attractive, with their specialities Groovy Baby (beer mixed with grapefruit, cinnamon compote, and grapefruit puree) and Wake Up & Fook (soju with coffee liqueur and espresso). Happy hour begins at 5pm, and restaurant service follows at 6pm.

Yokoso Restaurant & Bar

You’d think with a name like Yokoso the offerings here would be mostly Japanese, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised to also find a decent selection of Chinese and Indian cuisine (try their chili crab and chicken masala). In addition to a kitchen, they also have a bar and café to cater for those late night drinks or early morning coffee runs.
