Wine and a good time – this is what you will find at Regale, Malaysia’s first European wine lounge based in Desa Sri Hartamas. Located in a first floor unit in the middle of the bustling Desa Sri Hartamas neighbourhood, it’s an elegant but not extravagant space that makes you feel like you’re getting quality wine, without breaking the bank.

Regale was started by five friends who wanted a place where they could enjoy a drink without being bothered by loud bands or smoking patrons, and they were able to achieve just that. Here you will find a selection purely of old world wines at affordable prices (between RM10-15 by the glass), some finger foods to graze on, and a great private but casual atmosphere enhanced by soothing jazz playing over the speaker system.

And you’ll notice there are no ashtrays to be found anywhere inside, this is because Regale is strictly smoke-free. Guests are free to step out for a smoke break, but smoking indoors is not tolerated – a greatly appreciated rarity in Malaysia.

Keep an eye out for the Boîte A Bijoux bakery and Vantador signage on Jalan 25/70A and you’ll find the staircase to Regale. While there is plenty of parking around the high-density commercial Desa Sri Hartamas it might be difficult to find a vacant spot, so taking a taxi or an Uber/Grab is highly recommended.
