Stärker Group has opened in Taman Sutera Utama, its first outlet in Johor, and 8^th overall. The bistro offers the brand’s locally-brewed German-style beers and European food.

Opened in the neighbourhood of Skudai, the bistro offers residents in the area a casual hangout. The concept is to re-introduce the “old-world style” German drinking culture into a modern setting. The interior displays its European roots with stone pavements, cobblestone flooring and natural wood in a 2-storey building with a semi-outdoor area for al-fresco dining.

To go with their beers, the food menu features crispy roasted pork belly and traditional pork knuckle, gambas on toast, grilled sausages and wings, BBQ baby back ribs, pasta, hand-crafted pizza, and desserts.

Stärker offers a range of fresh German-style beers, namely lager, dunkel and aromatic. The beers are stored in wooden barrels to preserve its freshness. All brews are kegged unfiltered and unpasteurised, hence only have a 7-day shelf life.

Behind the brews is Master Brewer Timothy O’Rouke, who has over 30 years experience in the beer brewing industry.
