Glendronach has relaunched its core range with refreshed packaging and an collaboration with Scottish-born photographer and director, Rankin.
On 29 August, during an exclusive event held at the Wonder Room in Singapore EDITION, the new packaging was unveiled to trade partners, media, and influencers. The revelation of the new look, led by Stuart Fear (Brand Ambassador and newly appointed Keeper of the Quaich), Colton Payne (Marketing Director), and Sally Goh (General Manager) from Brown-Forman Asia, introduced the refreshed look of Glendronach’s three core single malt expressions: the 12-Year-Old, 15-Year-Old, and 18-Year-Old. These whiskies though with new look, maintain their original profiles, continuing to be aged in rare Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso casks from Andalucía, Spain.

A highlight of the event was the screening of Glendronach’s brand video, directed by Rankin. The film features a flamenco dancer Rocio Dusmet Orellana moving gracefully among the distillery’s barrels, capturing the duality of the Highland whisky’s deep connection to Spanish sherry casks. Glendronach has championed this distinctive characteristic since its founding in 1826 by James Allardice, who named the distillery "Glendronach," Gaelic for ‘Valley of Brambles,’ reflecting his love for sherry.
Stuart Fear led the tasting of Glendronach’s core range with the media with the following official tasting notes:
The Glendronach 12YO (43% ABV)
Nose: Sherried autumn fruits meld with smooth chocolate praline, gingerbread and sun-dried raisin
Taste: Caramelised bramble, silky orange and sultana envelope the palate with warming spice
The Glendronach 15YO (46% ABV)
Nose: An intoxicating burst of maraschino cherry, ripe bramble and dark chocolate mint with hints of orange bitters and walnut liqueur
Taste: Honey-glazed apricot and ripe fig with a crescendo of black cherry, angelica and muscovado
The Glendronach 18YO (46% ABV)
Nose: Deep aromatics of fudge and dark muscovado sugar. Fruit compote and morello cherries provide added layers of complexity.
Taste: Rich, dark and seductive. Remarkable flavours of stewed fruits and allspice marry together with classical aged Oloroso and toasted walnut bread and chocolate orange.
“The flavour crescendo of The Glendronach is unlike any other whisky. It harmoniously fuses the robust Highland spirit with opulent Spanish flair,” said Fear. “We’re excited to unveil a new look that pays tribute to our storied history, and we invite whisky lovers seeking a rich, rewarding experience to explore it with us.”
Fear also revealed that Glendronach’s Master’s Anthology, featuring three new premium expressions, including 21-Year-Old, 30-Year-Old, and 40-Year-Old whiskies, will be released by the end of the year.
Shared with media on the evening was the exclusive Single Cask 1992 28-Year-Old bottling with the media, of which only 657 bottles were available worldwide. Aged in an Oloroso Sherry Puncheon, the whisky was distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2021 from cask number 2145. Fear’s tasting notes included rich dried fruits, figs, chocolate, blackcurrants, and a touch of cinnamon.
