After two years of quiet in the events arena, Tiffin has returned as a permanent feature of culinary pop-ups housed within Sentul Depot and renamed as Tiffin At The Yard.
Once the largest complex of railway engineering workshops in the country with a history dating back to 1905, Sentul Depot has been dressed up and decorated with hip and nature-loving embellishments to the already rustic and photogenic venue.
Tiffin At The Yard will be rotating its pop-up vendors from a selection of Malaysia’s best creative minds to create multi-sensory dining and drinking experiences with the aim of bridging the culinary and creative worlds, and to satisfy Malaysian’s unparalleled love for food and drinks.
Beverage offers cover beer, wine and cocktails. A selection of house wines are available from the Wine Bar and the Beer Bar is supported by Tiger. With an emerging local cocktail scene and innovative bartenders, expect exclusive cocktails curated just for the pop up every month, starting with Jason Julian of Soma Cocktail Bar in TTDI in November, followed by David Hans of Three X Co for December and Koh Yung Shen of Backdoor Bodega for January 2022.
Food is essentially the main focus of Tiffin. Not only is local food on the menus, a mix of culinary themes that span countries and continents is going to give patrons many options and reason to return for something new every now and then.
Find Afro-Caribbean sandwiches and staples from Jojo’s by Joloko, ice creams by Licky Chan, soft bao buns from The Bao Guys, and a seafood bar with fresh catches by Southern Rock Seafood, contemporary Chinese food and snacks by Small Shifting Space, burgers and doughnuts by Alta Burger, Malaysian classics with a twist from Red Red Botak Head, and plant-based concept Herbivore which features a three-way collaboration between Sala, Con-Fusion Club and Colombian chef Sandra Zuluaga.
Other than food and drinks, the multi-layered space also hosts artisanal food markets, wellness weekends, pop-up dinners and thematic evenings. The BEYOND Lounge holds live performances and serves as an art space with ever-changing art installations by local artists such as Sputnik Forest and The Tottie Object.
Tiffin At The Yard is a cashless space (debit, credit cards and major e-wallets) and opens on Thursday and Friday (10am – 12am) and Saturday and Sunday (5pm – 12am) with kitchen closing at 10.30pm.
